Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo Gitau has signed performance contracts with key Principal Secretaries and leaders of Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies to fast track strategic ICT initiatives. The agreements, aligned with the Kenya Kwanza Manifesto and President Ruto’s BETA agenda, focus on expanding affordable high-speed internet, digitizing government services, and creating digital jobs. Leaders from agencies including the Communications Authority, ICT Authority, and Konza Technopolis will undergo quarterly reviews to ensure measurable progress. This move underscores the government’s commitment to stronger accountability and positioning Kenya as a continental ICT hub.
