The 2025 Cost of a Data Breach Report revealed a positive global trend, with the average cost of a data breach dropping by 9% to USD 4.44 million—the first decline in five years. This improvement is largely due to faster breach containment enabled by AI and automation in cybersecurity.

Organizations using AI extensively saved up to USD 1.9 million per breach and reduced
breach lifecycles by around 80 days. These findings highlight the growing impact of AI-driven tools in strengthening data security and reducing breach-related losses.
